Why Go Green Scientific?
I didn’t start this year planning to launch a new company. But sometimes, the gap between what is and what should be gets too loud to ignore.
After years in scientific distribution, I kept seeing the same pattern: labs producing mountains of waste with few viable alternatives that were both sustainable and high-performing. If you’ve ever tried sourcing eco-friendly lab supplies, you know the struggle: poor quality, greenwashed claims, or limited and hard to find resources.
That’s where Go Green Scientific comes in.
Built from Frustration and Hope
Go Green Scientific was born from equal parts frustration and belief.
Frustration that truly sustainable options were buried, hard to find, or barely existed.
Belief that there had to be a better way to get essential lab supplies without compromising on quality or the planet.
So I began building a curated catalog that meets three core criteria:
- High-quality and lab-ready
- Genuinely sustainable — whether reusable, compostable, or lower-impact
- Accessible to small labs, schools, and startups not just well-funded giants
This isn’t a white-labeled storefront or a venture-backed tech play.
It’s just me: sourcing carefully, vetting vendors, obsessing over the details, and building something with integrity.
Why It Matters
Labs aren’t typically known for sustainability, and that’s understandable. Scientific integrity comes first, and the supply chain hasn’t made it easy to align lab work with environmental responsibility.
But it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Whether it’s swapping single-use plastics for compostable alternatives, investing in long-lasting tools, or simply choosing vendors who are transparent about their impact, small changes in the lab can create a big ripple effect.
