Hardy Diagnostics Buffered Peptone Water (BPW) is a non-selective pre-enrichment medium formulated to promote the recovery of stressed or injured Salmonella species from food and environmental samples prior to selective enrichment and isolation.
BPW provides an optimal osmotic environment for cellular repair by incorporating casein peptone and buffering agents that stabilize pH during bacterial recovery. This step is critical for achieving accurate Salmonella detection results, especially in regulatory and HACCP-compliant testing programs.
Packaged in durable polycarbonate bottles, each 400 mL unit is ready-to-use, sterile, and designed for consistent performance in ISO 17025 and FDA/USDA-regulated laboratories.
