CRITERION™ D/E Neutralizing Broth by Hardy Diagnostics is formulated to inactivate a broad range of antiseptics and disinfectants while enabling recovery and detection of microorganisms that may remain after chemical treatment. This makes it especially valuable for environmental sampling, sanitation validation, industrial hygiene programs, and disinfectant efficacy studies.

The medium contains neutralizing agents that counteract quaternary ammonium compounds, phenolics, iodine-based disinfectants, chlorine preparations, and other sanitizers—ensuring that recovered organisms are not inhibited during culture.
