Dichloran Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol (DRBC) Agar, 18mL fill, 15x100mm Plate
Dichloran Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol (DRBC) Agar is a selective medium formulated for the enumeration and isolation of yeasts and molds in food, beverages, cosmetics, and dietary supplements.
This medium combines dichloran to restrict the spread of rapidly growing fungi, rose bengal as a selective dye to limit bacterial growth, and chloramphenicol as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. Together, these components create an ideal environment for accurate mold and yeast enumeration by preventing overgrowth and improving colony differentiation.
Hardy Diagnostics DRBC Agar is manufactured under strict quality standards to ensure consistent colony development, accurate fungal counts, and reliable results for microbial quality assurance testing.
Each plate is molded from optically clear, heavy-duty polystyrene for distortion-free visualization and easy colony enumeration. The breathable packaging prevents condensation while maintaining plate sterility and media integrity during storage.
