HardyCHROM™ Candida is a high-performance chromogenic medium designed for the isolation, differentiation, and presumptive identification of clinically relevant yeasts, including Candida albicans, C. tropicalis, C. krusei, and C. glabrata. Using proprietary chromogenic substrates, the medium produces distinct, species-specific colony colors that allow rapid interpretation and early detection of mixed yeast populations.

This medium is ideal for hospitals, clinical labs, pharmaceutical QC, and research facilities where rapid, reliable yeast identification is essential. Color reactions typically develop within 24–48 hours, providing clear, easy-to-read results that eliminate unnecessary confirmatory tests for most common species.

Plates are manufactured using optically clear, durable polystyrene, filled to 18 mL, and packaged in light-protective sleeves to maintain chromogen stability. Hardy Diagnostics also offers free Blok-Boxes for users needing dark storage or incubation conditions.
