HardyCHROM™ Listeria is a chromogenic medium formulated for the selective isolation, differentiation, and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes from food, environmental, and surface samples.
This advanced medium uses a modified and improved ALOA (Agar Listeria according to Ottaviani and Agosti) formulation, optimized for rapid visual identification through distinctive colony color and halo formation.

When cultured on HardyCHROM™ Listeria:

Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria ivanovii appear turquoise with a bright white halo, allowing clear visual distinction from other Listeria species.

Non-target Listeria species form colonies without a white halo, facilitating differentiation and confirmation testing.

Results are visible as early as 24 hours, enabling faster detection and streamlined workflow for food safety, environmental monitoring, and quality assurance testing.
Each plate is produced using optically clear, heavy-duty polystyrene for distortion-free colony visualization and packaged in breathable sleeves to maintain media integrity and prevent condensation.
