The MicroSnap™ Coliform and E. coli test by Hygiena® is a rapid, bioluminogenic test that delivers same-shift results for detecting and enumerating Coliforms and E. coli in environmental or product samples.
Using a patented two-part design—a sample enrichment device and a detection device (sold separately)—MicroSnap™ provides reliable, quantitative results in as little as 6 hours, or qualitative presence/absence results in 8 hours.
Each test utilizes a bioluminogenic enzyme reaction that produces measurable light when bacteria-specific enzymes react with specialized substrates. The emitted light is quantified by a Hygiena® luminometer (SystemSURE Plus™ or EnSURE™ Touch), providing fast, accurate data comparable to traditional culture methods—without the wait.
