Anaerotest® Strips are indicator test strips designed to verify anaerobic conditions during microbiological culture. The strips detect the presence or absence of oxygen through a color change in the reaction zone, allowing researchers to confirm proper anaerobic environments during incubation.
The indicator contains methylene blue, which becomes colorless in oxygen-free conditions due to chemical reduction. When oxygen is present again, the indicator returns to its blue color, providing a rapid visual confirmation of atmospheric conditions. These strips are commonly used in anaerobic culture systems and are compatible with the Anaerocult™ system.
