This certified reference material (CRM) is a single-component iron calibration standard solution containing 1 g/L iron (Fe) in nitric acid. Manufactured under ISO 17034 and characterized in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, the material is traceable to SI units through primary reference materials from a National Metrology Institute (NMI), such as NIST.
The solution is suitable for calibration, quality control, and method validation in elemental analysis using inductively coupled plasma techniques (ICP-OES and ICP-MS). It is commonly used for determination of iron in environmental samples, food matrices, agricultural materials, cosmetics, cleaning products, and industrial materials. The nitric acid matrix helps stabilize the metal ion and maintain solution integrity for accurate analytical performance.
