Mepiquat-d16 Chloride, PESTANAL® Analytical Standard, Neat | 5 mg
For laboratory, institutional, and professional use only. Not available for residential or personal purchase. Orders are subject to verification.
Mepiquat-d16 chloride is an isotope-labeled analog of the plant growth regulator mepiquat chloride, in which hydrogen atoms are replaced with deuterium (≥98 atom % D). Mepiquat is widely used in agriculture to control vegetative growth by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis, particularly in cotton and cereal crops.
The deuterated form is chemically and physically comparable to the native compound, ensuring consistent chromatographic behavior while allowing clear differentiation during mass spectrometric detection.
Application
Mepiquat-d16 chloride is commonly used as an internal standard for the determination of mepiquat in food, agricultural, and environmental matrices using LC-MS/MS or GC-MS methodologies.
By spiking samples prior to extraction, analysts can correct for recovery losses and matrix suppression, enabling robust and reproducible pesticide residue analysis.
