SporAmpule® Liquid Biological Indicators (BIs) provide a reliable and easy-to-interpret verification system for steam sterilization processes. Each self-contained ampule contains a standardized population of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores suspended in a nutrient growth medium with a color indicator.

After exposure to a steam sterilization cycle, the ampules are incubated at 55–60°C for 48 hours to verify lethality. A purple-to-yellow color change with turbidity indicates viable spore growth and a failure of the sterilization cycle, while no color change confirms successful sterilization.

Designed for accuracy, consistency, and error-free handling, SporAmpule® BI systems support routine monitoring, cycle qualification, and regulatory compliance in laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, medical device manufacturing, and healthcare sterilization departments.
