Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA), USP, 15x100mm Plate
Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA), USP is a non-selective, general-purpose medium widely used for the isolation, cultivation, and enumeration of bacteria, yeast, and fungi from clinical, industrial, and environmental samples.
Formulated according to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards, this medium supports the growth of a broad spectrum of non-fastidious organisms and is frequently employed for colony counts, environmental monitoring, bioburden testing, and sterility verification in manufacturing environments.
Each Hardy Diagnostics TSA plate is made from optically clear, heavy-duty polystyrene to provide distortion-free visualization of colonies. The raised stacking rings enhance plate stability, while breathable packaging prevents moisture accumulation and condensation during storage and incubation.
Features and Benefits:
• USP-compliant, non-selective medium suitable for diverse microorganisms
• Ideal for total aerobic microbial counts and environmental monitoring
• Supports bacteria, yeast, and mold growth in one standardized formula
• Heavy-duty polystyrene plates reduce breakage during handling and shipping
• Raised stacking rings improve laboratory workflow and storage
• Breathable packaging maintains optimal humidity and media performance
